I've used a combination of the small, plus a larger heart, made in the same way as documented in my previous post
I've made these in to hanging decorations for the home.
The second using yellow, orange, pink and red wool roving.
I decorated each heart with a matching button.
And strung a small and a large heart on to a colour co-ordinated ribbon.
Both of these have now been listed in my Etsy store.

Its the 100th post of Handmade Harbour, and although I am a relative new comer, I have actually stuck to writing my blog every Sunday. I have found this site very useful. By having a set day to get my blog posted has meant that i'm doing it every week. This has turned into a habit now, and the blog is in the back of mind throughout the week, and taking pictures of everything I do has started to be a natural process! But also Handmade Harbour is a friendly mix of different crafters and its very interesting to pop in and see what all others have been doing throughout the week!
The cold weather, and snow has settled in and if I had my way I would hibernate, but unfortunately work means I have to face the icy white paths! Thankfully my work-related trip to Derby came before the wintery weather arrived! And i'm hoping its not going to last too long!
I do love a nice hanging heart - and yours are so lovely. I like the tactile-ness of felt (I am sure there's a less clumsy way of saying that, but it's eluding me right now!). I'm so happy HM is making you think more about blogging. It's done so much more than I ever set out to do, which I love! x
ReplyDeleteOhhh they look gorgeous! Have a good week :-) Simmi x
ReplyDeleteThese are great. I really like the way the colour changes through the hearts. The button is a nice touch. I know what you mean about thinking about the Sunday post - it is very useful :)
ReplyDeleteYour hearts are lovely and such gorgeous colours. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteYour hearts look very lovely indeed on their ribbon- especially with their cute little buttons.
ReplyDeleteYour heart decorations are really lovely. My daughter got a felting kit for Christmas, and although we are both itching to have a go, it seems to involve a lot of soap. She gets eczma on her hands, so there may be more itching if we do.
ReplyDeleteI do dry felting, which uses a needle to bind the fibres together. But even doing with wet felting you shouldnt have to get your hands too soapy, as you can rub the fibres together through bubble wrap or bamboo mats
Deleteyour hearts are so cute and perfect for Valentine's day!
ReplyDeletei find Handmade Monday really helps me with regular blogging too :) x
Very pretty hearts! Have a good week and take care on the roads x
ReplyDeleteThe hearts look really pretty, I like the different sizes and colours. I have to agree that I take more photo's now with HM in mind.

What lovely hearts - I'd been thinking of something like that for the husband's Valentine's card - I think he's fed up of the knitted versions he gets! Sue x
ReplyDeleteGreat colour combinations on your hearts, they're really gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty. I really like how the colours ' melt' into each other. Hope the paths aren't too icy.
