Butterflies...

After finishing my heart collection I had a look for some different shaped cookie cutters, but other than online I couldnt find any.

I came across a silicone mould in a butterfly shape, so I felt sure I could utilise this. It didn't really work , even with putting a piece of pre-made felt at the bottom, it was too solid for the fibres to bind. However, I did use this as a template and I found that by just drawing any shape I could work upon this, which gives me great scope for any future shapes.

After using so much pink I went for a more vibrant orange.

Layered with some yellow and white.

After covering the front, I added some beads to add colour highlights.

Going on, I need to add the hanging ribbon, and felt across the back to build up the thickness, and find something, possible coloured wire to use for the antennae.

Movies
2 serious movies this week, and one worthy enough to pay actual cinema fees!

Les Miserables

Ex-prisoner Jean Valjean is hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine's young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.
*****  Amazing, great acting, catchy songs, oh and weepy (or maybe thats just me!)
The Kings Speech

The story of King George VI of Britain, his impromptu ascension to the throne and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch become worthy of it.
****  Interesting, amusing + engaging
